Review on Terrifier 3

Terrifier 3 is the 3rd installment of Damien Leone's Terrifier franchise, it has been confirmed that a 4th and final movie is in the works and will be released sometime in the near future. This movie follows the aftermaths of the second movie after Sienna and her brother Jonathan survive Art the Clown's malicious attacks. Five years have gone by and Sienna has been in and out of therapy and Jonathan has started college. The holidays are coming around and Sienna flew down to visit her Aunt and Uncle, and fortunately for Jonathan his college is in the same city as his relatives. Everything seems to go according to plan until Sienna sees a glimpse of Art at the local mall. For the past 5 years Art had been hibernating in an abandoned mansion until a group of construction workers wake him up. Ever since then Art is stopping at nothing to find Sienna and her brother to wreak more havoc.

The music was one of the bright spots in this film, the score during the chasing scenes were hauntingly enough to keep ones heart rate pounding. David Thornton who plays Art the Clown put on a fantastic performance and left me crying with laughter. His facial expressions were a highlight considering the fact that Art the Clown still has yet to talk. The kills were probably the goriest yet, and I enjoyed the Christmas theme they had going.

Other than that, that's all the compliments I can really give this film. The plot almost felt forced and a lot of it was randomness especially with the magical sword. All in all it was definitely not a snooze fest since majority of the fans came for the over the top kills, but on a critical scale I can't rank this movie super high. I rate Terrifier 3 by Damien Leone a 0.5/5 stars.
